Akerman Daly would like to announce their inaugural writer in residence for 2011, Patrick Coyle.
The residencies are virtual desks for a time-limited period hosted on the website www.akermandaly.com. The residencies offer artists a space on the site to publish new writing. The purpose is to offer an easily accessible outlet for current art writing that has not yet been published elsewhere.


Patrick Coyle (b. Hull 1983) is a London-based artist and writer. He studied MFA Art Writing at Goldsmiths, University of London (2008-2010) and BA Fine Art at Byam Shaw, University of the Arts London (2002-2005). Recent exhibitions include up, Jerwood Project Space, London (2010); The Bottom Line, Tenderpixel Gallery, London (2011) and Bloomberg New Contemporaries, A Foundation, Liverpool and ICA, London (2010-2011). Coyle has recently delivered performances at The Poetry Café, London; Flat Time House, London; and Arnolfini, Bristol. Recent publications include Art Licks Magazine, ment journal, and the ICA's Roland Magazine.
